Background:

Africa is home to the world’s youngest population, with an increasing number of young people stepping forward to tackle today’s most pressing challenges — none more urgent than climate change.
The role of youth in shaping sustainable development is critical. As the climate crisis intensifies, so must the efforts to empower youth as active agents of environmental change.
In response, the Africa Carbon Agency, in collaboration with the Vice President’s Office (Environment) and the Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete Foundation, is organizing the Youth Summit 2025 under the theme: “Building Green Solutions for Tomorrow.”
This high-level event will unite young leaders, students, policymakers, private sector innovators, and civil society actors to inspire action, innovation, and policy engagement.
